Historic Lynchburg Sweet Fire Spicy Chipotle Chicken
Alternative Views:
Ingredients
4 ea. 6 ounce chicken breasts
6 Tablespoons
Historic Lynchburg Sweet Fire Spicy Chipotle Pepper Sauce
1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon lime juice
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt or more to taste
2 Tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Add the chicken to a wide flat bowl or better yet to a sealable plastic bag.
Whisk together the Lynchburg Sweet Fire Chipotle Sauce, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and salt. Pour over the chicken. Be sure to rub the sauce into the chicken.
Cover, then refrigerate and marinade at least 1 hour. You can marinade overnight for more chipotle flavor.
When you’re ready to cook, heat a large pan or your grill to medium-high heat. Add the olive oil.
Cook the chicken breasts about 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium. Flip the chicken and continue to cook another 7-8 minutes, or until it is cooked through. It should measure 165 degrees F. internally.
Let the breasts rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
Note:
This chicken recipe is also great served with a little of our Historic Lynchburg Sweet Fire Chipotle Dipping Sauce on the side.
